Honey Gets Star Treatment From Latin Celebs.

Celebrity bees abound these days in Hollywood. Well not quite, but the all natural sweetener has become a wholesome hit with the farándula – Latin celebrities, like pop diva, Shakira. According to celebs, honey is the perfect compliment to a star-stressed life. Rumor has it, Latino stars are among the heaviest honey users, praising nature’s own liquid gold for its unrivaled healing and beautifying properties. Honey is the base for the perfect energy booster, voice-enhancer, and skin- smoother, to name a few of its star-studded uses.

On any given day, Shakira wakes to a Mango & Honey Licuado; former Miss Universe, Amelia Vega, soothes a sore throat with her special honey tea; MTV v-jay, Englatina Zingg softens her skin with regular honey baths, and Barcardi Rum heiress, Carolina Bacardi even adds it to her favorite cocktail.

“Honey helps me look my best before a shoot,” shares model and MTV star, Englatina Zingg, who uses honey inside-and-out.

“It is no real surprise that Latino celebrities are embracing honey in this way,” says Bruce Wolk, director of marketing for the National Honey Board. “You can always trust the many varieties of honey found in the U.S. to be pure, delicious and of the highest quality.”

But now, honey is a hot item backstage and Latin artists are giving it the star treatment.

Venezuelan beauty, Englantina Zingg, believes honey has special soul-cleansing properties that other foods can’t replicate. “I take a honey bath at least once a week,” explains Englatina. “I rub honey from head to toe, and after rinsing it off, my skin feels silky smooth, and I feel spiritually cleansed.”
