WTMO-TV/Telemundo Launches TeleNoticias Orlando.

WTMO Channel, the Orlando Telemundo affiliate, is expanding the news coverage of Central Florida with the launch of a 30 minutes daily newscast that will be on the air starting November 8th at 6:00 p.m.
“TeleNoticias Orlando is a different concept, dynamic and refreshing. We are setting the pace for excellent television journalism and high credibility. It will also be viewer friendly and entertaining” said Roberto Vizcon, Telemundo’s General Manager. Vizcon has over 25 years experience of broadcast journalism in Florida.
Claribel Collazo, News Director said “TeleNoticias Orlando will create a difference. We have prepared a quality product close to the expectations of the Hispanic market of Central Florida. Besides, we have an excellent team of reporters and anchors who are top notch professionals and are also loved by the community, such as Luis Mercado, our main anchor”.

TeleNoticias Orlando will be anchored by journalist Luis Mercado, with meteorologist Ariel Rodriguez and sport anchor Yesenia De la Rosa; while two seasoned electronic media reporters will cover all daily news from Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia Counties: Maria Isabel Hernandez and Francisco Flores. Award-winning Colombian reporter Homan Machuca will do Community Affairs and International News. Giorgina Pinedo, is in charge of the entertainment segment.
