AD2 Miami Creates ‘Fashion Stripped’ To Benefit Non-violence Project Campaign.

AD2 Miami, a group of young professionals in advertising, marketing and communications will create an edgy, high-impact fashion show that will help sponsor a local South Florida advertising campaign for the Non-Violence Project. The show entitled “Fashion Stripped: Sex, Fashion & Advertising” will take place on Thursday, October 21 from 8 to 10 p.m. at Oxygen Lounge in Coconut Grove. (2911 Grand Avenue. Miami, FL 33133.) Tickets are free for AD2 Miami and AdFed members, $10 for students with student I.D. and $20 for the general public.

Attendants will be exposed to an exciting night with an opening act by Hispanic hip-hop artist Laura Diamante. Diamante was recently signed to Sony Latino and has toured with legendary Hip-Hop icon Guru, from the group “Gangstarr” for his 27-day European Jazzmatazz tour. She sings and writes her own lyrics in Spanish and English and co-produces much of her music.

Modeling students from International Models Inc. will showcase clothing sponsored by renowned labels such as Bebe, Phree Brand and Fitelle. Guests can enjoy an open bar from 8 to 9 p.m. and indulge on the sushi available throughout the show. “We will also have a raffle and a clothing donation drive to benefit the Non-Violence Project. We encourage everyone to participate,” said AD2 Miami President, Annette Diaz.

The Non-Violence project exists to change attitudes toward violence among youth. The group strives to teach alternatives for negative behavior, and to motivate and engage young people in positive action to make communities safer and healthier.

“Fashion Stripped” will establish the often overlooked relationship between fashion and advertising. The show will be unique in presentation and be a showcase of local and national fashion advertisements. We hope to raise awareness for AD2 Miami by providing the community at large with a unique evening of fashion, sex and advertising, ” said AD2 Miami Events Co-Chair, Jason Inasi.
