AARP Segunfa Juventud Magazine Expands To Bi-monthly.

AARP Segunda Juventud, a bilingual magazine for the 50+ Hispanic audience, will expand from quarterly to bimonthly publication with its February/March 2005 issue.

In one of the single largest launches in the history of Hispanic publishing, AARP Segunda Juventud was introduced in 2001 to a readership seeking the vast wealth of information and advice AARP has to offer, in a format that speaks directly to them. In 2001 its circulation was 200,000; today that number has tripled with the magazine reaching over 600,000 households. With the over-50 Hispanic population poised to become the United States’ largest minority within this age group by 2010, AARP Segunda Juventud will only continue to thrive.

“Hispanic membership of AARP keeps growing, and AARP Segunda Juventud provides them with a customized magazine to help them tackle health, family and lifestyle issues important to every one of our members,” said Jim Fishman, Group Publisher, AARP Publications.

“We are heartened by the response we’ve received from the Hispanic community,” said Editor Gabriela Zabalúa-Goddard. “Our readers share this information with their parents and extended family members, making AARP Segunda Juventud the voice of this increasingly powerful group.”
