Sí TV, the seven-month-old English-language Latino cable network, announced further distribution success with six new affiliate launches on Cox Cable, expanding the network’s subscription base in California, Nevada, and Kansas.
“This is a very exciting time for Sí TV,” says Leo Perez, Sí TV’s Chief Operating Officer. “These launches are a validation of our network’s appeal. We are extremely pleased with Cox’s support of Sí TV and the Latino community.”
Throughout the month of October, Sí TV will launch on digital variety in a number of Cox systems beginning with Topeka and Wichita, KS. “Not traditionally known as key Latino markets, these cable systems nonetheless want to address and provide relevant options for their Latino subscribers and Sí TV offers differentiated, English-language programming,” Perez added.
The network will also be available in several Cox Communications top 40 Hispanic markets including Las Vegas, Santa Barbara, Bakersfield and Eureka. These new affiliate launches expand Sí TV’s reach by more than 200K new cable homes in addition to the nearly 8 million homes the cable network is currently available in nationwide.
“Cox’s continuing commitment to the Latino community is evident with these new launches,” said Rori Peters, VP of Affiliate Relations. “It’s very rewarding to see that Cox understands our vision and is blazing a trail by embracing this emerging market.”
