al Punto Advertising Sponsors Universal Studios Annual Charity Golf Classic.

For the third year in a row, Tustin-based al Punto Advertising is among the key sponsors of its client Universal Studios Hollywood’s Universal Studios Golf Classic. Held September 17th, the event recognizes continuing education for graduating high school students. The benefits from the event directly support Universal Studios Hollywood’s “Discover A Star Foundation”. This year marked a ground-breaking contribution, providing $1 million in scholarships and grants to Southern California students pursuing higher education after high school.

al Punto’s commitment to higher education is driven especially because of the importance of education in the Hispanic community. This commitment inspired al Punto’s innovative ad that went along with the Golf Charity theme. The goal with the creative was to portray a clear connection between the golf tournament and it being a vehicle to higher education. The ad displays a golf cart that emulates a yellow school bus on the green ready to move forward to the next goal, much like the students who will receive the “Discover A Star” scholarships in order to pursue a college education. The copy reads, “Supporting the Drive,” which reinforces the clever imagery.
