People en Español’s top-selling franchise issue – the “Best & Worst Dressed,” hits newsstands unveiling the most-talked about fashion hits and misses of 2004. Penelope Cruz, Jennifer Lopez, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Alba, Eva Mendes, Carlos Ponce, Eduardo Verastegui, Gael Garcia Bernal and Ricky Martin are among the 50+ celebrities featured in this much-anticipated issue.

The “Best & Worst Dressed” issue captures today’s hottest celebrities – all clad in the most daring, trendsetting and fashion-forward—and-backward designs. Spanish beauty Penelope Cruz wins People en Español’s Editor’s Choice for best-dressed celebrity of 2004. The international movie star reinvented herself in 2004 in both film and fashion. After parting ways with conservative designer Ralph Lauren, Cruz is now stepping out and showing off her sultry figure in designs by Valentino and Christian Dior. Currently on location filming the action/adventure film Sahara, Cruz is reportedly locking lips with co-star Matthew McConaughey.

Jennifer Lopez also appears on the magazine’s “Best-Dressed” list. Although she only appeared at a couple of star-studded events in 2004, the Latin superstar proved that she is one of today’s leading fashion icons.

Paulina Rubio’s sense of style upgraded from rocker chick to Latin diva. Currently working on her second English language album, Rubio’s “crossover” brought her fame, fortune and the love for designer names.

Other Hollywood beauties securing positions on People en Español’s “Best Dressed” list include Oscar winner Charlize Theron, actress Angelina Jolie and 2 Fast 2 Furious star Eva Mendes.

American Idol judge Paula Abdul may have a knack for discovering new talent but in terms of fashion our judges voted her off the red carpet and onto People en Español’s “Worst Dressed list.” Alongside Abdul, is booted Apprentice contestant Omarosa and Donald Trump’s ex-wife Ivana.

And who are the best-dressed men in Hollywood? Topping this year’s list are actor and Entertainment Tonight correspondent Carlos Ponce, Y Tu Mama Tambien star Gael Garcia Bernal, International heartthrob Ricky Martin, Troy star Brad Pitt and blue-eyed hottie Eduardo Versategui.
