mun2 television Wins Mark Award.

mun2 television was recognized with a gold Mark Award by the Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM), an organization dedicated to advancing consumer and business-to-business marketing excellence, the mastery of new technologies, and strategic learning in cable, broadband and other emerging media. The Gold and Silver Mark Award winners, recognized for excellence in consumer and industry marketing for the cable and telecommunications industry, were honored last Sunday at the CTAM/Multichannel News 21st Annual Mark Awards unveiled at the CTAM Summit in Boston.

mun2 received the award for its u>mun2 program under the category of Internal Communications and Promotions, which recognized business marketing communications campaigns designed to educate or motivate internal personnel about network programs or promotions.

The mun2 campaign, “Building la Generación: u>mun2,” was created to inspire the participants of u mun2, a national grassroots marketing program created by mun2 television, that offers college interns access to the entertainment industry. The program empowers them with hands-on experience that helps them to reach their educational goals, thrive in today’s workforce and form a new community of young Hispanic leaders.

“We’re very proud of everyone on our marketing team for having created and executed the u>mun2 program, which exemplifies our grassroots philosophy of reaching and maintaining direct contact with young Latinos in the United States,” said Yolanda Foster, Vice President of Programming at mun2 television. “u>mun2 effectively inspires viewers to want to become brand ambassadors and represent mun2 television to their peers, creating the kind of word-of-mouth awareness that’s even more effective than traditional advertising.”
