‘The Roof’ in Syndication.

Perfect Image Film and Video Production and mun2 television announced their first step in syndicated programming by signing a deal with UPN 33 to carry their signature music entertainment show “The Roof” in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale DMA. The half-hour syndicated version launched on June 26th and will air every Saturday at 10:30PM ET. The announcement marks a significant step to demonstrate the crossover appeal for shows targeting young Latinos.

Since its primetime launch on mun2 in December, 2002, “The Roof,” a co-production between Perfect Image and mun2, has made significant strides as a viable vehicle to reach the young Latino urban market. With live DJs, the hottest urban dancers and vibrant hosts, “The Roof” is a non-stop, over the top, musical experience like no other. Featuring weekly reports from the top urban markets including New York, Los Angeles and Miami, The Roof has grasped every aspect of urban culture with a Latin twist.

According to Anthony Perez, President and CEO of Perfect Image, the ongoing national popularity of the show guarantees immediate local success. “We are very happy to bring our hit show to the next level. UPN 33 is one of the top rated UPN stations in the country and we are confident that The Roof will be a perfect fit for its unique target audience”, says Perez.

“We’re very pleased that our signature program is now being launched into the broadcast market in order to reach a broader audience,” said Yolanda Foster, Vice President of Programming at mun2. “This only validates the importance and size of this valuable yet underserved segment of the Hispanic population and our commitment to develop content that reflects the lifestyle of semi-acculturated Latinos,” she added.
