Of 36 club teams in the 2004 Copa Toyota Libertadores competition, only four remain: Sao Paulo, Once Caldes, River Plate and last year’s champion, Boca Juniors. The battle for the 2004 Copa Toyota Libertadores championship is nearing with six games remaining. Fox Sports en Español’s broadcast coverage of first semi-final match begins on Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at 8:30 p.m. (ET)/5:30 p.m. (PT) in Sao Paulo when Sao Paulo confronts Once Caldes. The second match between both teams will be played in Manizales on Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at 8:30 p.m. ET and will determine who advances to the finals.

Once Caldes is making their first appearance in the finals rounds of the Copa Toyota Libertadores. They impressively shut out Brazilian favorite, Santos and are now targeting the only Brazilian team remaining in the competition, Sao Paulo. Once Caldes’ talented midfielder, Arnulfo Valentierra, has accounted for 5 of the 14 goals that his team has scored since the beginning of this competition.

Fox Sports en Español will also be televising the finals, live, on Wednesday, June 23rd and Wednesday, June 30th at 7:00 p.m. (ET)/4:00 p.m. (PT).
