SBC Communications Summer Concert Series With Joan Sebastian & Marco Antonio Solis.

SBC Communications Inc. announced that it’s celebrating with loyal customers and employees this summer, by sponsoring an unforgettable concert series that joins for the first-time two of Latin music’s greats and 2004 Latin Grammy award-winners – Joan Sebastian and Marco Antonio Solis. The “SBC Gira de los Grandes” tour will run from June to October in California, Texas, Nevada, and Illinois with a total of 12 concert dates.

Celebrating 25 years of customer service in Spanish, SBC companies are marking the occasion by saying “thank you” to their customers with a series of programs and events throughout the year dedicated to their Hispanic clientele, including the “SBC Gira de los Grandes” concert series. For example, leading up to the concerts, SBC radio partners will give away concert tickets to loyal customers through radio remotes at Cingular stores in select markets.

Both Joan Sebastian and Marco Antonio Solis, winners of numerous musical awards and accolades, have long been admirers of each other’s artistic achievements. Having launched their musical careers in the early 70’s, both have been instrumental in setting the standard for singer/songwriters.

Known as The People’s Poet, Joan Sebastian’s versatility as a composer and his ability to write in all genres from the regional to the contemporary makes his music and compositions highly coveted by top artists. Joan Sebastian’s performance in this tour will include his spectacular equestrian show where he performs both on stage and mounted on his beautifully mastered horses.

Marco Antonio Solis, The King of Romance is without question one of the prominent composers of contemporary music. Credited for creating the grupero explosion that greatly influenced the music industry in the 70’s, his signature romantic ballads mesmerize audiences.
