López – Director of Business Development @ Bilingual Research Services.
April 26, 2004
Ms. López, a graduate of the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Pennsylvania, has been researching Hispanic/Latino consumers for over 12 years.
With the increasing demand for bilingual data collection capabilities, Eastern Research Services, a well respected veteran of telephone data collection, based in the Philadelphia metro area, developed Bilingual Research Services.
Ms. López points out: “With a US Hispanic population larger than Canada’s total population, no longer makes sense to conduct national surveys solely in English. On 3/18/04 the US Census announced that in 50 years, Non-Hispanic Whites will constitute less than 50% of the US, with Hispanics being 1 of every 4 residents. Today, 49% of that population does not speak English, and among the ones who do speak English, 60% prefer to communicate in Spanish.”
Bilingual Research Services will be based in El Paso, Texas.
