The Washington Post Buys El Tiempo Latino In WDC.

The Washington Post Company announced that it is acquiring the Spanish-language newsweekly El Tiempo Latino, which was owned by Armando Chapelli’s Farragut Media Group Inc. That’s less than a month from the recent acquisition by the Atlanta-Journal Constitution of Mundo Hispanico. Washington Post representatives said that El Tiempo Latino will remain independent and will be operated by the current management and editorial team; Alberto Avendano, Kristen Sheperd and Zulema Tijero.
