2004-2005 SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTS

REALITY

Kicking off the weekly lineup are two new and exciting reality series: “La Familia Perfecta” and “Mekanix.”

“La Familia Perfecta” chronicles the lives of six very different people as they leave their homes and families to pursue their dreams of becoming artists. Along the way, they hit a few sour notes while struggling with the immense trade-off and sacrifices that exist for those breaking into the music industry. Watch as this group of developing young artists experience the raw reality of trying to make it big. Stopping by to provide industry insight are popular artists from the Reggeton, Spanish Hip Hop, Pop and Bachata genres.

With car shows all the rage this season, mun2 brings its audience its own automotive production with the new show “Mekanix.” This one-hour weekly look at the art of the automotive “hook up,” will profile Latinos in a body shop, where vehicles are being modified and transformed into modern masterpieces of the road. With a few speed bumps along the way, the diverse personalities of the central figures rev up conflict and make the decisions surrounding the cars in question somewhat difficult.

WEEKEND

From the small screen to the big screen, Latino youth crave the latest in the video gaming and movie industries. mun2 has added two new weekly programs sure to quench their thirsts.

mun2 will air “Gamer.tv,” a weekly series for video game enthusiasts across the globe, solely dedicated to the latest games, trends and developments of the video console culture. Presenting on-location reports from every continent, Gamer.tv entertains and amuses while delivering unrivaled coverage of all exciting news surrounding games.

mun2 will be “keeping it real” this season with “The Reel Project.” mun2 is the first network to give young Latino filmmakers a chance to showcase their work to the world with this new series. Through interviews and behind-the-scenes footage, viewers experience the daunting drama of making a movie on a shoe-string budget without any Hollywood glamour. It’s an up close and personal look into the challenges and frustrations that go into making a film.
