Terra.com was tapped by CoverGirl to build and house its first fully-integrated online marketing campaign targeting the U.S. Hispanic market. The interactive site was not only created by Terra, but it is also being managed and powered exclusively by Terra.com. Latinas across the country can get beauty tips, product information, sign up for monthly e-mails and enter CoverGirl sweepstakes at http://www.covergirlenespanol.com .
The fully integrated online campaign at Terra targets the Latina in a multi-dimensional approach that includes everything from site build out and development, hosting, online and e-mail marketing strategies, ad campaigns, database management and editorial content. Terra.com ranked as the number one website in unique user traffic, giving CoverGirl a great advantage to reach the Hispanic target. Since its launch last year, traffic to the site has been overwhelming. “Cover Girl realizes the growing size and influence of Hispanic consumers and has addressed the unique beauty needs of Hispanic women for many years. With the growing number of U.S. Hispanics online, we had to develop an interactive marketing program that spoke relevantly to this consumer. The Spanish language site is modeled after CoverGirl’s English language site, with the essential subtleties to reflect the nuances and preferences of the Latino user. “One of Terra’s strongest assets is our Spanish language capabilities and the cultural relevance we offer the client,” said Michelle Azan, vice president of sales for Terra.com. “The CoverGirl campaign was developed by Hispanics for Hispanics.” Kovacoglu adds, “Terra.com has helped CoverGirl reach a vast number of Hispanic consumers online in a culturally relevant way.”
In addition to the site, each CoverGirl promotion is advertised throughout the Terra portal to drive targeted potential visitors and drive new traffic to the Cover Girl site.
