FCC Commissioner Adelstein @ Independent Spanish Broadcasters Association Meeting In Las Vegas.

FCC Commissioner Jonathan Adelstein will be attending the meeting of the Independent Spanish Broadcasters Association (“ISBA”) in Las Vegas on Wednesday, April 21, 2004, beginning at 9:00 AM in the Las Vegas Convention Center Room N261.

ISBA will be holding its first constitutional meeting during the week of the National Association of Broadcasters annual convention in Las Vegas.

ISBA founding member Rosamaria Caballero commented, “We are delighted and honored that Commissioner Adelstein will be joining us to kickoff our first ISBA meeting on April 21st. He has always been a great supporter of our industry.”

At its meeting in Las Vegas, ISBA members will elect a Board of Directors as well as a President and other officers of the Association. Members will also identify certain policy initiatives to be proactively pursued by the Association in 2004. Commissioner Adelstein is expected to give welcoming comments to the ISBA attendees at 9:00 AM.

ISBA was formed by independent Spanish language networks, broadcast companies, financial institutions, and other service providers to the Spanish media industry. The Association is open to Latino-owned TV and radio broadcasting companies and networks, as well as non-Latino broadcasters, addressing the growing Hispanic market in the United States. However, the primary membership focus will be independently owned, non-publicly traded, Spanish language broadcasting and media companies.
