Showtime @ The Group For Hispanic Efforts.

Showtime Networks Inc. has awarded the Hispanic marketing and advertising responsibilities to The Group Advanced Marketing and Advertising, it was announced by Geof Rochester, Senior Vice President, Marketing for Showtime Networks Inc.

The hiring of The Group, following a comprehensive agency review, reinforces Showtime Networks’ commitment to aggressively reach this under-served market. Research indicates that the Hispanic population has grown over 50% in the past decade and it is projected that Hispanic buying power will grow 55% by 2008. Additionally, more than one in ten of the Showtime subscriber base are Hispanic.

According to Geof Rochester, “Showtime sought a partnership with an agency experienced in Hispanic marketing and we believe we found the right match with The Group. We are confident that the combined creativity between THE GROUP and SHOWTIME will result in creative, effective and measurable results that will help us to serve our affiliates as they too expand their efforts in the Hispanic market.”
