La Opinión Wins Design Award.

La Opinión received three Award of Excellence awards in the Society of News Design (SND) 25th Edition Best of Newspaper Design competition. SND is an international professional organization with more than 2,600 members in the United States, Canada and more than 50 other countries.
La Opinión won in the following categories for a newspaper with circulation of 50,000-174,999: “Sports page design,” “Feature page design,” and “Sports page design.” La Opinión’s entries won in each of these categories, which considered all newspapers, regardless of language.
“I am immensely proud of these awards from the Society of News Design,” said Monica Lozano, Publisher and CEO of La Opinión. “The validation from such a well-respected professional organization that the design of our paper is ‘excellent’ is critical, and we pledge to perpetuate this standard of excellence from cover to cover of La Opinión on a daily basis.”
This is the fourth-year in a row that La Opinión has won SND awards, making it the most honored Spanish-language newspaper in the United States by this organization. According to information provided by SND, the winners were chosen from a field of 384 newspapers from 37 countries and a field of 13,618 entries in 21 categories.
La Opinión will be showcased along with all award winners in the 25th Edition Book, “The Best of Newspaper Design”, which is scheduled for release this Fall.
