Bajo La Misma Piel @ Univision’s Primetime.

Novela superstars Kate del Castillo and Juan Soler lead an all-star cast in “Bajo La Misma Piel” (“Under the Same Skin”), a new primetime drama premiered on the Univision Network on Monday, February 16, 2004 at 9 pm ET/PT (8 pm Central/Mountain).

This riveting Televisa production tells the story of four passionate women in one family: two sisters, a daughter, and the wise, matriarchal grandmother — three generations of women struggling for
the happiness that seems to elude them all.

Miranda (Kate del Castillo) is engaged to a sinister man she doesn’t really love or trust. When she meets the handsome Alejandro (Juan Soler), sparks fly. But their newfound love seems to breed nothing but trouble for them both…and Miranda must decide if her happiness is worth fighting for.

Miranda’s mother, Sara (Diana Bracho), is faced with a similar dilemma. Unhappily married to a selfish womanizer (Alejandro Camacho) for 25 years, Sara finds herself at a crossroads when the great love of her youth suddenly reappears in her life. Now she is confronted with the agonizing choice of daring to love again…or remaining in her convenient yet unsatisfying marriage.

Meanwhile, Regina, Sara’s sister, is a sexually liberated woman whose only moral code is to never get involved with a married man. But despair and inner conflict engulf her soul when she unwittingly falls in love with her best friend’s husband.

Holding them all together through each crisis is Esther, the iron-willed widow and head of the family who has known true love…and lost it to death. Now battling terminal cancer herself, Esther will not allow her frail health to hinder her from giving the women in her family the strength and support they need to defend their happiness.
