Telemundo’s veteran journalist Pedro Sevcec traveled to Baghdad for an exclusive coverage starting on Monday February 16th, 2004, only on Noticiero Telemundo (6:30pm ET/PT).
Last year, Telemundo Network News provided Spanish speaking viewers with critically acclaimed coverage of the Iraq war from Baghdad, Kuwait, Qatar, and Israel. Now, a year later, Anchorman Pedro Sevcec returns to Baghdad to provide a compelling and unique look at life there today. He will be joined by reporter-cameraman Fernando Mejía, who provided live reports during the war from Qatar.
“Thousands of Hispanic soldiers are stationed in this turbulent region, and the U.S. commitment is front and center in this year’s presidential election,” said Joe Peyronnin, Executive Vice President of News and Information Programming for Telemundo. “We felt it was important to get a first hand look at this issue affecting all Americans.”
