NAHP Hispanic Ad Summit …. January 7, 2004 in NYC.

The National Association of Hispanic Publications, Inc., (NAHP, Inc.) and the National Hispanic Press Foundation (NHPF) will host a series of presentations on Hispanic Print Media on Wednesday January 7th, 2004 at the InterContinental Hotel, The Barclay in New York City.

In this center of the economic world, attendees will have the chance to learn about the Hispanic print business. They will be able to find out what’s new and how the Hispanic advertisement industry is growing. It is known that advertising offers the media a chance to develop motivating and useful ads, it is also useful to know how many agencies perform their jobs correctly or whether corporate communications through Hispanic publications is significant.

For this reason, the National Association of Hispanic Publications, Inc. and the National Press Foundation will offer this program, to inform and support Hispanic publications. One of the hosts will be Miguel Blanco, publisher of the newspaper El Aguila, who remarked: “This summit is a very important event and highly needed for us, as we ought to stress the importance that the media have, especially since many owners of publications are Hispanics. Also, we need to show that the scope we have as independent journalism is valuable, and demonstrate the substantial influence we enjoy on our readers, since we have the pleasure to reach a large part of the Hispanic community in the U.S.”

In addition, Kirk Whisler, of Latino Press Network stated: “New York is still the advertising capital of the world, and with the ever increasing awareness from the advertising community of the Hispanic market, the timing is excellent for this event. The Hispanic market is being recognized for the market place that it is. And along those lines, Hispanic print is finally generating appropriate amounts of ad dollars.”

January 7th, 2003 will be a day full of beneficial information for these increasingly successful Hispanic media, and New York will surely be the perfect place for all of them to meet. For more information call 202-662-7250 or e-mail co************@na********.org
