People en Español Promotes From Within.

People en Español Publisher Lisa Quiroz announced today the promotions of Jacqueline Cruz and Marcia Garcia to New York Advertising Sales Manager and Beauty Director, respectively. Quiroz recently promoted Diane Malloy to Associate Publisher.

Cruz, who has served as a People en Español Account Manager since August 2002, has been appointed New York Advertising Sales Manager, effective immediately. In her new role, Cruz will manage the New York sales staff as well as focus on sales development throughout the Northeast region. She currently supervises top accounts including Kraft, J& J, Volkswagen and Unilever. Cruz brings more than ten years of sales and publishing experience to People en Español having worked at two top business technology agencies–CMP Media and Ziff Davis Media. She currently resides in Manhattan with her husband Alberto.

Garcia has been promoted to Beauty Director from Account Manager, a position she has held since August 2000. She has been a driving force behind securing top beauty accounts such as Neutrogena, Estee Lauder and Chanel. Under her direction, the magazine’s beauty business has become #1 in market share. Prior to joining People en Español, she worked at Unilever Cosmetics International, where she managed the advertising planning and buying for prestige fragrance brands in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. She currently resides in Manhattan with her husband Dan and two-year old daughter Rosalinda.
