Reuben Rodriguez-Katz has been named Vice President of Sales Development by Gemstone Communications, Inc. for its Senior Publishers Media Group (SPMG) and Ethnic Print Media Group (EPMG) advertising sales divisions.

Rodriguez-Katz brings to his new assignment a decade of successful experience in marketing and advertising planning and development on a national and international basis. His career includes: co-founder and senior managing director of Altaica Consulting, headquartered in San Diego and with offices in Boston, New York and Miami; and chairman of iLeon.com, Inc., a venture-backed international book distributor with offices he established in Philadelphia, Barcelona, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Mexico City and San Diego. Earlier assignments in marketing and advertising development were on campaigns for Visa Platinum, US Bank, US Airways, First Union Bank, Schlumberger and other international and national accounts.
