The 24th Annual Tejano Music Awards March 13, 2004.

Texas Talent Musicians Association (TTMA) founders and organizers of the Tejano Music Awards, announced plans for the upcoming XXIV annual Awards show and schedule of events. The annual Awards show will again recognize and honor Tejano music artists for their achievements over the past year and will be held Saturday, March 13, 2004 in San Antonio, Texas at the SBC Complex – Freeman Coliseum.

Tejano music is widely known for its’ deeply rooted, infused and spiced mixtures of Mexican conjunto, German Polka and Texas rockabilly sounds and continues to develop a loyal and multi-generation fan following that spans from the mid-west, California, Southwest and internationally. “This Awards show is the only forum by which Tejano music artists are truly recognized.” Stated Robert Arellano, TTMA Board President. “Our Tejano music fans come from all over the United
States year after year to support our artists. Tejano Music continues to be a Texas tradition that continues to thrive strongly with a fan base that just keeps growing.”

Added Arellano, “This year to make the event more exciting, a Gran Baile will be part of the event and will allow our Awards show guests to enjoy themselves further without having to leave the venue. It is certainly going to be one of the most exciting shows ever, and this momentum will continue as we plan our 25th Silver Anniversary Awards Show for 2005!”

The 2004 awards show is expected to draw over 10,000 fans of Tejano music with performances by numerous headliners. The final performance schedule will be announced in early 2004.
