Noticias 41 In NYC Scores 10-month Ratings Gains.

“Noticias Univision 41,” the 6 pm newscast on Univision 41 (WXTV) in New York, scored its highest overnight Nielsen Station Index (NSI) rating since January 2003 last night. With a 4.2 NSI rating and 8 share on Wednesday, November 5, 2003, the Univision local newscast finished third in its time period — ahead of competing local newscasts on CBS-owned WCBS-TV Channel 2 and Fox-owned WNYW Channel 5 and behind only the local news programs on WABC-TV Channel 7 and WNBC Channel 4. “Noticias Univision 41” with anchors Rafael Pineda and Denisse Oller just kicked off a month long series about the worst rental apartments in New York. Inspired by viewer feedback, “Inspeccion 41” documents housing filled with roaches, vermin, bedbugs and landlord abuse. The 4.2/8 scored by “Noticias Univision 41,” the highest overnight rating for the program since January 9, 2003, represents a jump of 62% over the 2.6/4 NSI the program averaged during the October 2003 survey.
