Telemundo Increasing Health Awareness.

In an effort to help create awareness on the increasing need for Hispanic bone marrow donors, Telemundo and the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) have partnered to present “Regala Esperanza, Regala Vida”: a moving PSA campaign based on the current story of Telemundo’s novela, “Lazos de Familia” (Monday – Friday 10pm ET/PT).
The novela’s plot took a surprising turn when it was revealed that one of the main characters suffers from Leukemia. As she searches for any possible treatment, the doctor informs her that the only option left is to receive a bone marrow transplant. For this, Camila will have to depend on one of the organizations that are dedicated to matching patients and donors. As the story develops, the novela focuses on Camila’s fight for her life while portraying the reality of new characters she meets who also wait for a transplant in order to survive. Through the PSA campaign, Telemundo will offer information to help the audience learn how easy it is to become a bone marrow donor.
