Korn Joins Gemstone Communications.

Gemstone Communications, Inc., has expanded its advertising sales organization by appointing Mitchell Korn as New York account manager. Korn represents Ethnic Print Media Group for its 225 local and regional Hispanic newspapers and 200 African-American newspapers and magazines, plus Senior Publishers Media Group and its 318 represented mature market publications. The announcement was made by Trevor W. Hansen, vice president, marketing and sales, for Gemstone and its advertising sales divisions.

Korn moves to the SPMG/EPMG New York assignment following six years of multi-media advertising and promotion sales for the Clemente-Miyares Group of Hispanic media plus earlier management and sales assignments with Hispanic America/News America Marketing, Telemundo Network, Inc., and Katz Communications/Katz Hispanic Media.

“Mitchell Korn provides a one-on-one presence and service to marketers and advertisers in the New York area,” stated Gemstone’s Hansen. “This step to a New York office and sales management is one of the most important in our current expansion of our sales representation of absolutely-targeted and, therefore, cost-efficient media to marketers and advertisers in reaching, informing and motivating Hispanics, African-Americans and mature adults.”

“With the industry-leading technological and program advances by Gemstone, I can offer advertisers detailed budgets to their ad specifications and market selections within hours,” added Korn. “They can choose from 718 local newspapers and magazines and a combined circulation of 28.3 million copies, and place campaigns without premium charges for zoning
or for changing ad content by market or mature or ethnic target.” Korn reports to Trevor Hansen and Reuben Rodrigues-Katz, Gemstone’s vice president for business development.
