AOL Latino announced that it will continue to sponsor “Hispanics Today,” the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s (USHCC) nationally syndicated television show. Now in its fifth season, “Hispanics Today” airs on major media affiliates and independent stations reaching 86 percent of Hispanic households and 26 million viewers every week. The announcement was made at the USHCC’s 24th Annual National Convention and Business Expo in Phoenix, Arizona.
David Wellisch, General Manager of AOL Latino said, “AOL has an ongoing and growing commitment to serving the U.S. Hispanic community and we are proud to sponsor ‘Hispanics Today’ as part of that commitment. AOL shares the USHCC’s belief in the power of the Hispanic community and that is why we are excited to work closely together on ‘Hispanics Today’ and why we recently launched our first Spanish language internet service, AOL Latino.”
“Exposing technology to the Hispanic community at large is of critical importance and an invaluable service that the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce can provide through ‘Hispanics Today’,” said George Herrera, USHCC President and Chief Executive Officer. “With AOL’s continued support, our ‘Hispanics Today’ audience will get the information about new state-of-the-art technology through AOL Latino.”
