Telefutura Launches Four New Fun-Filled Programs.
September 6, 2003
TeleFutura’s primetime is getting better than ever with the upcoming launch of four new programs in its weeknight lineup: the fresh and unique game show Armas de Seducción (Weapons of Seduction), premiering Tuesday, October 7 at 8 pm ET/PT (7 pm Central/Mountain); the hilarious comedy Noticias Calientes (Red Hot News), premiering Thursday, October 9 at 8 pm ET/PT (7 pm Central/Mountain); the family-oriented animated series Betty Toons, premiering Friday, October 10 at 8 pm ET/PT (7 pm Central/Mountain); and the outrageous hidden-camera show Loco Video Loco (Crazy, Crazy Video), also premiering Friday, October 10, at 8:30 pm ET/PT (7:30 pm Central/Mountain).
— Armas de Seducción
(Weapons of Seduction) is a lively and innovative combination of game/reality show where players vie for a dream date by employing all the “weapons of seduction” available to them. The object of the game is to choose a partner from among three contestants, guided by facts about their lives and personalities, and guessing which ones match which contestant. Making use of their powers of observation and intuition, participants find their ideal match… while having a lot of fun in the process. Hosted by Luke Grande, Armas de Seducción premieres Tuesday, October 7 at 8 pm ET/PT (7 pm Central/Mountain), and will air every Tuesday in the same time slot.
— Noticias Calientes
(Red Hot News) gives viewers a hilarious look behind the scenes of a network newscast – where office politics, overgrown egos and the quest for ratings make hotter news than what goes on the air. Follow the love/hate relationship of the rival anchors, (played by Paola Turbay and Ernesto Benjumea) and their interaction with the bubbly weather girl, the ruthless news director, the underappreciated producer and the ambitious cameraman as they work together night after night on the set of “TCB News.” Witty and thoroughly entertaining, this new comedy series is produced by Colombia’s premier network, RCN. Noticias Calientes premieres Thursday, October 9 at 8 pm ET/PT (7 pm Central/Mountain), and will air every Thursday in the same time slot.
— Betty Toons
brings back Beatriz Pinzon, the most lovable “ugly duckling” in the history of Spanish-language television, now as an animated character in a cartoon series targeted to the whole family. Betty Toons builds on the phenomenal success of the blockbuster novela “Betty La Fea,” taking viewers back to Betty’s childhood and following her experiences and misadventures in elementary school. Betty Toons premieres Friday, October 10 at 8 pm ET/PT (7 pm Central/Mountain), and will air every Friday in the same time slot.
— Loco Video Loco
(Crazy, Crazy Video), hosted by the vivacious Monica Pasqualotto, features some of the most inventive hidden-camera stunts ever staged for TV. In addition to playing outrageous practical jokes, Loco Video Loco adds a new twist by having recurring characters that “stalk” different prey week after week. And everyone is fair game- from ordinary people on the street to famous celebrities caught off guard. Loco Video Loco premieres Friday, October 10 at 8:30 pm ET/PT (7:30 pm Central/Mountain), and will air every Friday in the same time slot.
Completing the weeknight primetime lineup, is the hit game show Guerra de los Sexos (War of the Sexes), hosted by famous Venezuelan presenters, Viviana Gibelli and Daniel Sarcos, which continues in its regular schedule on Mondays and Wednesdays at 8 pm ET/PT (7 pm Central/Mountain).
