August 23, 2003
HispanAmérica and the New York Lottery have teamed up to congratulate Latin Pop group Bacilos on its recent Latin Grammy win for the hit song “Mi Primer Millón.” Bacilos took home top honors in the Best Tropical Song category.
“HispanAmérica’s creative team knew the song was a hit more than a year ago when we purchased the rights to use the song as part of our creative foundation for the New York Lottery’s new branding campaign” said Luz de Armas, Executive Creative Director of HispanAmérica adding, “I was not the least bit surprised when the Bacilo’s track we used won a Grammy. It’s memorable, vibrant and the perfect choice for the New York Lottery.”
The jingle created from the award winning song was arranged by Carlo Nicolau of Razorhead Music and produced by Willy Matos, Production Director of HispanAmérica. The Bacilos inspired jingle for the New York Lottery hit air almost two months prior to the Grammy nomination and the Latin Grammy win.
