Creative Civilization Goes Western.

The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo has rounded up Creative Civilization-An Aguilar/Girard Agency as their agency of record to develop an advertising, promotions and public relations campaign for the 55th Annual San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo.

The largest fundraising event that the San Antonio Livestock Exposition hosts is the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, which boasted an attendance level of 1.1 million in 2003 and raised $4.8 million in scholarship funds for Texas youth interested in agriculture. The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo is the third stop on the ProRodeo Tour and has the largest rodeo fan base, surpassing Houston, Austin and Colorado Springs, according to studies performed by Scarborough Research.

Creative Civilization will develop all broadcast and print materials for the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo to include television, radio, outdoor and print advertising. Agency communication efforts will target existing rodeo enthusiasts, individuals and families who may not be familiar with the diverse offerings of the rodeo.

“We are proud to put on our creative cowboy hats for the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo,” said Gisela Girard, president and COO of Creative Civilization. “The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo is a strong part of our South Texas culture through the entertainment that we enjoy and the educational opportunities it provides to the youth of our community.”

For the past 54 years the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo has supported agriculture by providing opportunities to young Texans through its commitment to education. Since 1984, the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo has contributed more than $51 million through scholarships, grants, endowments, junior livestock auction and other educational programs. Today, the organization’s annual commitment to youth is $4.8 million.
