Diario Latino To Hit The Street In San Diego.

October marks the opening date for Diario Latino, a daily newspaper in Spanish aimed at the Hispanic communities of San Diego County.

“The objective of Diario Latino will be to connect Spanish-speaking people, organizations and advertisers with the Latino world,” noted Jose Santiago Healy, President of Healy Media, Inc. The publication was designed based on extensive research and analysis of the market among readers and advertising groups.

Diario Latino, headquartered in Chula Vista, will be unique in Southern California because of its editorial content, printing quality and graphic design. A recent study revealed that Latin readers in San Diego want to be better informed daily about what is happening in their communities, in California, along the border and in their relationship with Mexico and the world.

“The readers want a complete newspaper, useful in their daily lives and with specific topics that support them in building a better quality of life,” Healy Media, Inc. emphasizes in its publishing project.

Diario Latino will be a tabloid newspaper with thirty percent of its pages printed in full color and focused on the Hispanic communities of San Diego, such as Chula Vista, National City, San Ysidro and Imperial Beach. In its second stage the daily plans to extend its circulation to Escondido, Oceanside, Vista and San Marcos.

The newspaper will circulate from Monday through Friday with an average of 32 pages and a cost of 25 cents. It will include sections dedicated to health, our community, classifieds, entertainment, job searches and sports, among others.
