WorldLink To Rep ‘Destino X’.

Wide Angle Productions has signed an exclusive advertising sales representation deal with WorldLink to oversee all U.S. domestic direct response spot business for “Destino X,” a popular travel and lifestyle program currently aired in the U.S. on Latin TV (LTV) and internationally on Telemundo Internacional. The announcement was jointly made today by Alfonso Guerra, Vice President and Executive Producer for Wide Angle Productions, and Toni Erickson Knight, Founder and CEO of WorldLink.

Currently broadcast to more than 25 million households outside of the United States in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe, as well as an additional 14 millions homes throughout the U.S. on LTV, “Destino X” features exotic destinations, unique hideaways, regional cuisine, fashion/style, music, and esoteric topics in an entertaining diary format. Some of the destinations spotlighted in the upcoming season include the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Peru, Chile, Uruguay, Venezuela and Mexico. “Destino X” is hosted by Yolanda Benet, an energetic world traveler, born in Morocco of Spanish descent who shares her insight and personal experiences about each journey and the people she meets in some of the most fascinating places on earth.

“‘Destino X’ is presented in a refreshing personal diary format which promises to satisfy the diverse tastes of its viewing audience,” commented Erickson Knight. “The program provides advertisers with an ideal young demographic within the growing U.S. Hispanic audience.”

“Our organization conducted considerable research in the market into media sales organizations that met our criteria for a global sales strategy, marketing and planning initiative, and professionalism. From the initial contact we had with WorldLink’s executives, we knew we had found the partner that would represent ‘Destino X’ to the direct response industry. In addition to the space available in our broadcasts, we are also working with WorldLink to market other valuable minutes that we have available on LTV’s fast growing US Hispanic network,” said Guerra.
