Sports Drink Consumers Are Likely To Be Frequent Patrons Of Quick Service Restaurants.
July 12, 2003
Scarborough Research announced that a study of American adults reveals that those who consume sports drinks are frequent patrons of Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs). According to Scarborough data, 27% of American adults who drank a sports drink in the past seven days visited a QSR ten or more times in the past 30 days. By way of contrast, only 22% of those who consumed a regular carbonated soft drink in the past seven days have an equivalent level of QSR patronage. According to Scarborough, the finding suggests that Quick Service Restaurants may have an additional opportunity in sports drink sales.
