Copa Sudamericana 2003 @ Fox Sports En Español.

Ecuadorian teams, LDU Quito and Barcelona, will open the 2003 Copa Sudamericana soccer tournament that starts on Tuesday, July 29 at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT, and Fox Sports en Español will again offer live coverage of the entire six-month tournament including all elimination rounds, playoffs and finals.

A total of 35 teams will compete in this year’s competition that consists of a series of eliminatory home and away games. The winner of the Copa Sudamericana tournament will move on to confront Boca Juniors of Argentina, the winner of the 2003 Copa Toyota Libertadores tournament, for the Recopa Sudamericana. Participating countries and teams include:

— Argentina: River Plate, Boca Juniors, San Lorenzo, Colon, Velez, Independiente and Rosario Central

— Brazil: Sao Caetano, Palmeiras, Gremio, Sao Paulo, Corinthians, At. Mineiro, Santos, Fluminense, Internacional, Cruzeiro, Vasco da Gama and Flamengo

— Bolivia: Bolívar and the Strongest or Blooming

— Chile: Osorno and U. Catolica

— Colombia: Dep. Pasto and At. Nacional

— Ecuador: LDU Quito and Barcelona

— Paraguay: Guarani and Libertad

— Perú: Cienciano and Alianza Lima

— Uruguay: Danubio and Nacional de Montevideo

— Venezuela: Monagas and Dep. Italchacao
