June 21, 2003
Creativas Group Inc., a full service, all female and Hispanic owned marketing and public relations firm has opened in Coral Gables. The Firm’s mission is to provide innovative and integrated marketing solutions resulting in high returns on client’s investments. The firm’s primary focus is the U.S. Hispanic market as well as a focus within affordable housing, an area of the real estate industry they have been involved in intensively.
In South Florida, the Latino culture is widely represented with the majority of the population being Hispanic. “Over the last several years Miami has become widely viewed as a crossroad between Latin America. Significant impact made by Hispanic empowerment in local government, transportation, healthcare, architecture, law, human and financial services, medicine and media have made this step a natural one for us,” said, Liza Santana, president.
Although the Creativas Group name is new in the market, the firm’s principals Liza Santana, president, and Dinorah De Cardenas, vice-president, have each carved solid reputations in South Florida having worked in almost every aspect of the industry. Santana was previously Director of Marketing at the Miami New Times as well as having been the executive in charge of Commercial Real Estate Advertising at The Miami Herald/ El Nuevo Herald.
De Cardenas was previously a top executive at The Miami New Times and then went on to Ocean Drive En Espanol prior to joining the firm. Both ladies have been featured in local publications In Focus, and She in the month of June due to their unique marketing ideas, aggression, synergy and versatility. “We apply certain techniques that are not typical of our industry, but extremely cost-effective and results driven,” said Santana. “We understand that with the economy in the state that is, people are not giving us huge budgets anymore, but they still want results.”
The firm’s current roster of clients includes: Oxygen Lounge and Sushi Bar, Carlisle Development Group, Pinnacle Housing Group, MTM Wireless, The Arbol Group, LeJeune Plaza, and Miro Jewels. They have also served as counsel for some of this year’s largest outdoor and entertainment related events including The Miami Beach Fitness Festival, Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, Ultra 5, Dance Star USA and the 16th Annual Legislative reception for the Florida Housing Coalition.
The firm is also involved with prominent professional organizations such as the Latin Builders Association, Vision Miami, BNI, the Miami Dade Arts and Entertainment Council, Coconut Grove Jaycees, Miami-Dade Gay and Lesbian Chamber and Next in Line.
“With so many companies being multi-lingual, marketing needs are constantly changing,” said Dinorah de Cardenas, vice-president. “I am happy as a female-Hispanic to be part of this venture. Miami is a dynamic market filled with opportunity. With [our] combined contacts, vision and expertise, this move was a perfect step forward.”
