Michael Dell to Discuss Digital Inclusion @ La Raza Conference.

Michael Dell will tell a keynote audience at the National Council of La Raza’s Annual Conference here today how his company is making technology more affordable and accessible to customers through standards-based technology.

Mr. Dell, the company’s chairman and chief executive officer, will describe benefits of information-technology investments by small businesses and educators. He also will summarize how Dell is helping disadvantaged youths around the globe gain access to computers and related training.

“Dell and La Raza share a common goal — to make a difference in the lives of Hispanic Americans by providing boundless opportunities to our youth, our families and our business leaders through technology,” Dell said. “We’re committed to digital inclusion and education because we believe it’s important that everyone have the training and resources necessary to develop, grow and learn 21st century technology skills.”

His presentation also will highlight Dell’s commitment to diverse suppliers. In its most recent fiscal year, the company awarded nearly $280 million in new contracts to Hispanic and other diverse suppliers.
