Eduardo Caballero Inducted Into The Broadcasting & Cable Hall Of Fame.

Eduardo Caballero, CEO of Caballero TV & Cable Sales, Inc. has been inducted by Broadcasting and Cable magazine into its Hall of Fame, which honors the pioneers, the innovators and the stars of the electronic arts.

“This is quite an honor,” said Caballero. “I am overjoyed to be among such extraordinary people.”

Caballero will receive the Hall of Fame Award during this year’s event at the Marriott Marquis, New York, on November 10th.

Eduardo Caballero, a pioneer in Hispanic broadcasting and 40 year veteran of Spanish-language television and radio broadcasting, began his career in broadcasting in 1962, in the radio industry; then, he moved to Spanish television in 1968 as Vice President/ Director of Sales at Spanish International Network TV (now Univision).

Caballero is best known for starting Caballero Spanish Media in 1973, the nation’s first and largest Spanish radio rep firm, which he sold to Interep in 1995. In 1998, Caballero returned to the television industry by launching the nation’s first Spanish music broadcast television network, MásMúsica TeVe, with programming targeted to young Hispanics. In 2001, Caballero created Caballero TV & Cable Sales, Inc.

Caballero, who is the force behind the formation of the Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies (AHAA), has also been honored with the prestigious American Broadcast Pioneer Award, the first Hispanic afforded that award, and the AAF Mosaic Award, which honors extraordinary achievement in diversity and multicultural marketing. In addition, he was the first inductee to Hispanic Business Magazine’s Se Habla Español Hall of Fame. This year’s inductees to Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame also include industry personalities: Steve Allen, Robert Alter, actress Candice Bergen, Jeff Bewkes, Ben Hoberman, Ted Koppel, Frank N. Magid, Judy McGrath, Fred Rogers, Pat Sajak, and Margita White. Names on the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame range from David Sarnoff and William S. Paley to Edward R. Murrow and Oprah Winfrey.
