Hispanics Barbecue At Least 3 Times A Month.
March 15, 2003
Like most Americans, Hispanics consider quality time with loved ones to be among the top priorities of their lives. So it is not surprising that with the onset of good weather, Hispanics take the opportunity to plan outdoor social events, such as barbecues, to spend time with family and friends.
A survey* on the grill preferences of Hispanic consumers conducted by Char-Broil finds that 80% of Hispanics grill outdoors more than 3-4 times a month. In addition, the same number of respondents said they spend this time with their relatives, proving that family remains the most important reason to barbecue for Hispanics.
“Grilling is a healthy alternative to traditional cooking because it enhances the natural flavor of foods and eliminates excess oils,” said Rob Schwing, Director of Marketing of Char-Broil. “In addition, grilling is a wonderful opportunity to prepare meals outdoors and provides an interactive and social experience for the entire family.”
