Univision Expands War Coverage.

Univision Network extends its comprehensive war coverage by adding an extra hour to its signature daybreak program ‘Despierta America’ (Wake Up America), seen Monday through Friday on America’s most-watched Spanish-language network at 7:00 am ET/PT (6am Central and Mountain Time).

Neida Sandoval, co-host and news anchor for America’s top-rated Spanish-language morning show, will take lead role in providing extended coverage of the war against Iraq during ‘Despierta America ¡Extra!’ which starts today and will air Monday – Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 am ET/PT (9 -10 am Central and Mountain Time).

Sandoval will cover in-depth war reports with continuous live coverage from correspondents in Baghdad, Israel, and Jordan and from Kuwait City, where Jorge Ramos, co-anchor of ‘Noticiero Univision’ (Univision’s National Evening Newscast), is based.

‘Despierta America ¡Extra!’ will change other program schedules as follows:

– Talk show ‘Marta Susana’ moves to 11:00 am ET/PT (10am Central and Mountain Time).

– Drama series ‘Mujer…Casos de la Vida Real’ (Woman…True Life Stories) moves to 12:00 pm ET/PT (11am Central and Mountain Time).

– Afternoon novela, ‘Cazando Un Millonario’ (Hunting a Millionaire) airs in a shorter, one-hour duration, starting at 1:00 pm ET/PT (12pm Central and Mountain Time).
