New Cartoon Network FIAP Award.

The Festival Iberoamericano de Publicidad (Iberoamerican Advertising Festival – FIAP), in conjunction with Cartoon Network Latin America, created the Cartoon Network FIAP Award to stimulate and recognize the production and creativity in advertising announcements directed to the children’s audience. The award will be bestowed on the best commercials targeting kids and will be issued in the classification of Gold, Silver, and Bronze.

All submissions within the category of Cinema and Television are eligible for the award. A jury of specialists will select the winners.

“With the Cartoon Network FIAP Award, we hope to stimulate the creation and creativity of advertising whose goal is to wake up the interest in kids. It’s a demanding challenge, and at the same time, very attractive,” says Pedro Marcel, general director of the Festival.

“We are very proud to team up with FIAP, one of the most important Spanish and Portuguese awards in advertising in the world, to recognize the best commercials dedicated to children,” says Barry Koch, senior vice president and general manager of Cartoon Network and Boomerang Latin America.

Created in 1969, FIAP honors advertising created in Latin America, Portugal and Spain and is the most respected award in the region. Submissions are currently open, and the awards ceremony will take place at the Hotel Marriott Plaza April 8-11 in Buenos Aires.
