National Hispanic Press Foundation Scholarships & Internships.

The National Hispanic Press Foundation is providing scholarship awards and summer internships for Hispanic students who are pursuing careers in journalism or the publishing industry.

“We want to encourage Hispanic students who are interested in careers in journalism or publishing,” said Eddie Escobedo, Sr., Board Chairman of the National Hispanic Press Foundation.

A limited number of $1,000 scholarships will be awarded through the generous support of the Pepsico Foundation. The scholarship program was established also in cooperation with member publishers from the National Association of Hispanic Publications (NAHP).

The Summer Internship Program allows Hispanic students to gain valuable work experience-without leaving home. Interns will work about 15 hours a week at one of the NAHP member publication work sites, available in a number of cities throughout the U.S. This joint venture between the foundation and NAHP members is made possible by Verizon.

The deadline for scholarship applications is March 10. The deadline for the Summer Internship application is March 30. Interested students should contact Marisella Veiga at Hi**************@ao*.com for further eligibility information and application.
