El Cucuy De La Manana … Now Por Las Tardes.

Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation and it’s Los Angeles stations, KSCA(FM) 101.9, KLVE(FM) 107.5, KRCD(FM) 103.9, KRCV(FM) 98.3 and KTNQ(AM) 1020, announced that Renan Almendarez Coello, “El Cucuy de la Manana,” Los Angeles’ #1 radio morning show host of KSCA, La Nueva 101.9, has made the decision to explore new opportunities in the entertainment industry. He is currently in negotiations with several networks to pursue a television career, and in addition, Renan intends to devote more time to his charity, “The El Cucuy de la Manana Foundation.” Also, after 16 years of morning radio, Renan will still continue his broadcasting career with the Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation, but will now be heard in a new time slot, beginning February 3rd, during the afternoon drive, from 3-7 p.m., Monday through Friday.

This announcement marks a historical moment for the career of Renan, “After waking up at 3 a.m. for the last 16 years, I think it’s time to enjoy the things in life that I have been missing. I am thrilled to take my career to the next level, where I can explore new challenges and new ways to entertain my audience,” states Coello. Renan Almendarez Coello, “El Cucuy” has the highest loyalty of listeners in the history of Los Angeles, whose morning show audience is over twice the size of his closest Spanish-radio competitor. His impressive ability to improvise and understand his listeners helped him to climb the ladder of success in the largest Hispanic market in the United States.
