Univision Welcomes In The New Year.

Univision welcomes 2003 with Don Francisco’s traditional New Year’s Eve celebration, ‘¡Feliz 2003!’ (Happy 2003!), and Ana Maria Canseco’s live coverage of the world-famous floral extravaganza, the 114th Tournament of Roses, Jan. 1 in Pasadena, California. Joining the hot list of celebrity specials, Sofia Vergara hosts ‘Fiesta de Carnaval’ (Carnival Party), a highly celebrated concert with many international performers.

‘¡Feliz 2003!’: Hosted by Univision’s charismatic Don Francisco from the Miami studios, ‘¡Feliz 2003!’ will air star-studded musical performances and include live coverage from Time Square / New York City hosted by Raul ‘El Gordo’ de Molina, Maribel Guardia, Carlos Calderon (from the hit series Lente Loco and Primer Impacto) and Jessica Fox. Karla Martinez and Rafael Jose, hosts from two of Univision’s hit shows ‘Control’ and ‘Los Metiches’, will join the cast live from Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas. Airs December 31, from 10 pm to 1:30 am ET/PT (9 pm to 12:30 am Central/Mountain Time).

‘El Conteo Final: Desfile de Las Rosas 2003’ (The Final Countdown: 2003 Tournament of Roses): Live pre-show behind the scenes coverage of the 114th annual Tournament of Roses. Join Univision hosts for this one hour special leading up to this prestigious event filled with exciting entertainment, special interviews and more. Airs January 1, from 10 am to 11 am ET/PT (9 am to 10 am Central/Mountain Time).

‘Desfile de las Rosas 2003’: Tournament begins 11 am and ends 1:30 pm ET/PT (10 am to 12:30 pm Central/Mountain Time) January 1. This tradition, more than a century old, features spectacular floral masterpieces, marching bands from across the country, and the beauty and grace of equestrian demonstrations.

‘Fiesta de Carnaval’: Julio Sabala and Sofia Vergara host some of the most energetic performers and musical superstars in a concert which also includes Patricia Manterola, Chocolate, Pablo Montero, and Tucanes de Tijuana. Airs January 1, from 1:30 pm to 4 pm ET/PT (12:30 pm to 3 pm Central/Mountain Time).
