Labatt USA announced that it has assigned advertising duties for Tecate to Lápiz.
“We’re looking to Lápiz to help us maintain our strong position among imported beers, while strengthening our foothold among Hispanics,” said Victor Melendez, director of marketing for Mexican brands at Labatt USA. “Lápiz has a strong reputation among Hispanic marketing firms and we’re confident they will help us meet our marketing goals.”
The new business win marks a recent hot streak for Lápiz, having been named Hispanic AOR for Wm. Wrigley Company and winning the only Gold EFFIE for a Hispanic agency in 2002 for P&G’s Gain Detergent.
