The pages of Journal news, known as a Wall Street Journal Special Edition, will contain both news and features and will begin publication in the Nov. 8 edition of Washington Hispanic. The Wall Street Journal Special Edition pages are published in leading newspapers around the world, reaching nearly seven million readers.

“The Journal has published Spanish-language sections in leading Latin American newspapers since 1994, but this represents our first Spanish-language publishing agreement in the United States,” said William E. Casey Jr., vice president, international, of The Wall Street Journal. “We are delighted to begin serving the U.S. Hispanic market in the nation’s capital.”

The two-page Wall Street Journal section will be published on Fridays. Washington Hispanic, which is owned by Johnny A. Yataco, has an ABC-audited controlled circulation of 28,000 per week.

“Our readers deserve the best, our community deserves the best,” said Mr. Yataco, president of Washington Hispanic. “I believe the insertion of the pages of The Wall Street Journal in Spanish, one of the most respected newspapers in the industry, besides positioning us in a leading place in the region will provide our readers and our community world-class financial information. We are extremely happy with this association.”
