In July, Marañon & Associates attained YAK Communications. Yak is a high- quality and low-cost domestic and international long distance dial around service that is used simply by dialing 10-15-945 plus the number from your home phone. Program components in the Miami Market for the YAK project include marketing, media planning/buying, public relations, community affairs, speaker engagements, signage, promotional materials and logistic support.

For the summer 2003, YAK plans to extend marketing/advertising support to 10 other markets, primarily multicultural. Budget is not disclosed.

With the same intensity, Marañon & Associates is alerting South Florida with the new money transfer card, E-Cash Express. Currently, to kick off the campaign, Marañon is targeting the distributors to expand product visibility while attracting the consumers with this new convenient and inexpensive product. E-Cash Express is already being marketed via print media and will launch a radio campaign to expand its reach to the consumers in the 4th quarter of 2002. This new card is revolutionary in that it operates like an ATM card and can be used internationally with rates well below the competition.
