Nielsen Hispanic Television Services To Measure Fox Sports en Español.

Fox Sports en Español joins the growing number of Spanish-language cable networks to be monitored by Nielsen Media Research’s National Hispanic Service. The first quarterly report for the new cable network will start in the third quarter of 2002, and will be delivered to all Nielsen Hispanic Television Services’ clients.
“We are thrilled to welcome Fox Sports en Español as a new client of Nielsen Media Research’s National Hispanic Service,” said Doug Darfield, senior vice president of Hispanic Services for Nielsen Media Research. “We look forward to expanding our service to Spanish-language television.”
Fox Sports en Español is now the third Spanish-language cable network to be measured nationally by Nielsen Media Research, joining the Galavision and Mun2 (formerly Gems network) Spanish-language cable networks. At the start of their service with Nielsen, Fox Sports en Español will be receivable in 19.9%, or 1.9 million, of Hispanic households in the U.S.
