TexasTejano.com To Publish First-Ever Tejano Materials.

An architect and businessman by trade, Mr. Rudi R. Rodriguez, founder of TexasTejano.com, has been studying and researching Texas history for over twenty-five years and discovered early on that very little information was available about the Tejano men and women who first settled in the area in the early 1800s. As a result, Mr. Rodriguez has built a significant Tejano archive and has collected over one thousand (1,000) primary documents, maps, and newspaper records and over five hundred (500) photos — each cataloged in both digital and hard copy forms. He has done so in order to make the
archives and library available in the future on a local, state and national basis to students, researchers and authors who desire to pursue their own works on the histories and legacies of Texas Tejanos.

In addition, Mr. Rodriguez and his company have recently been preparing an array of first-ever historical materials based on their research including: “A Tejano Son of Texas, An Autobiography by Jose Policarpio Rodriguez” (edited by Rudi R. Rodriguez), “A Tejano Son of Texas Record Book,” a series of related historical pamphlets, a timeline poster of the life of Jose Policarpio Rodriguez, a re-enactment video and an traveling exhibit as well as other works that will soon be available on the TexasTejano.com web site. Each item will also be offered for sponsorship by TexasTejano.com to corporations and organizations in order to make the materials available on a larger scale to educators, students and the general public throughout the state.

“We believe that TexasTejano.com will be a leading publisher of Tejano materials,” says Mr. Rodriguez. “Our business structure will help accelerate opportunities for us and other authors and provide the general public with more diverse and, otherwise, hard-to-find information on Texas Tejano pioneers and our on-line community will provide a platform for others to present their works, programs and agendas.”
