Kaufer – Marketing Director @ La Opinión.

La Opinión has chosen Enrique Kaufer as its Marketing Director. Kaufer will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Marketing department and set company wide marketing objectives.
Kaufer is making the move from Miami, where he served as the Managing Director of Fortaleza Capital Group, LLC, a private investment firm. California is familiar territory to Kaufer. He received a BA in Economics from UC San Diego and an MBA from Stanford University.
Prior to Fortaleza, Kaufer worked at American Express, where he held several positions, including Director of Business Development, Foreign Exchange Services for Latin America. He has also served as Associate Marketing Manager, International Flavors, for PepsiCo where he oversaw the brand development and reconciliation of the carbonated beverage, Mirinda.

As head of the marketing team, Kaufer’s primary goal will be to generate even greater interest not only from the Hispanic consumer but also from existing and potential advertisers who specifically seek to target Hispanics in the Los Angeles area. In addition, Kaufer will also be responsible for the newspaper’s overall marketing initiatives including advertising, promotions, market research and direct marketing.
